An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Food Safety (Technical Manager) to join a well-established manufacturing business.
You’ll take ownership of food safety, quality, and compliance, working closely with senior leadership to maintain high standards across operations and support a strong food safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all food safety, quality, and compliance activities
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation, retailer standards, and customer requirements
- Maintain HACCP, traceability, and quality management systems
- Lead audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections
- Support operations with continuous improvement and best practice
- Provide guidance on supplier approval, risk management, and incident response
- Develop and lead the food safety and quality team
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a senior food safety or technical leadership role
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and retailer standards
- Experience managing audits and regulatory relationships
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
