We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to take ownership of financial operations for our retail division. This is a hands-on role covering everything from month-end reporting to stakeholder analysis and audit prep.

Description
Management Accountant (Immediate Start)
- Prepare monthly management accounts (accruals, prepayments, journals).
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate depreciation.
- Produce monthly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Manage ledgers and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Post daily cash receipts and reconcile with eCommerce platforms.
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Support VAT returns and HMRC compliance.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Profile
Management Accountant (Immediate Start)
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within an SME or standalone environment.
- Strong grasp of management accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator across all levels of the business.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
