Overview
A rare and career-defining opportunity has arisen to lead the full commercial transformation as the resort prepares to rebrand in early 2027. Comprising 160+ keys, including premium suites, the resort is an established leisure and events destination within the highly competitive Gold Coast market. This role will be instrumental in building performance momentum ahead of conversion and setting the strategic commercial foundations for a successful luxury brand relaunch.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Sales & Marketing will hold full accountability for the resort’s commercial strategy, performance, and repositioning. This is a unique platform to shape the commercial architecture of a flagship luxury transformation, working closely with ownership, brand leadership, and the executive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the total revenue strategy across Rooms, MICE, Leisure, and ancillary streams
- Lead the market repositioning strategy ahead of luxury brand conversion
- Recalibrate rate architecture, segmentation, and pricing strategy
- Optimise distribution channels and international market mix
- Oversee and elevate all marketing strategy and brand alignment in preparation for relaunch
- Drive luxury leisure and premium suite sales performance
- Lead and align Sales, Revenue, and Marketing functions into a cohesive commercial structure
- Deliver the brand integration roadmap and go-to-market strategy for the 2027 conversion
The Candidate
We are seeking a commercially astute and strategic hotel leader with a proven track record in premium or luxury environments.
You will demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing or Commercial Director within a branded luxury or premium hotel
- Strong success in lifting RevPAR index and market share in competitive resort or CBD markets
- Experience in brand conversions, reflagging, or major repositioning projects
- Deep expertise in luxury segmentation, international distribution, and revenue optimisation
- Strong marketing capability, with the ability to guide brand positioning and campaign strategy
- Executive presence and credibility to engage ownership and global brand stakeholders
