Overview

The Internal Audit & Compliance Manager will oversee internal audit processes and ensure compliance with ISO standards for our construction client. Based in Birmingham, this role will be integral in liasing with the BSI and ensuring all the necessary certifications the business needs are gained.

This opportunity is working with a large, PE-backed construction business who are going through a period of rapid growth. Due to this growth, the audit team is expanding to cover the necessary increase in scope they have been given. The audit team will also be looking to expand further in the medium-term, offering lots of opportunity for career progression

Description

  • Develop and execute the internal audit plan to ensure operational and financial compliance.
  • Oversee the internal audit team, quality managing and shadowing where necessary
  • Be involved in collating reports and reviews alongside the divisional director
  • Identify and assess risks, providing recommendations to mitigate them effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address compliance issues.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and improvements.
  • Support the organisation in maintaining a strong internal control environment.

Profile

A successful Internal Audit & Compliance Manager should have:

  • Experience in a management level position within internal audit
  • Ideally has sound knowledge of ISO standards and has conducted project-based audits
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the construction industry
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex information clearly.

Job Offer
