Overview
Medacs Healthcare is currently partnering with a Mental Health clinic in Hobart, Australia. We are seeking Psychologists to join a multi-disciplinary team and work with a 12 – 25-year-old age group.
Main duties:
- Provide evidence based, short term psychological interventions to young people aged 12-25 years, with mild, moderate and in some cases severe mental illness
- The delivery of therapeutic interventions will primarily include face-to-face individual consultations and group therapy sessions with some telephone and skype services provided
- Conduct comprehensive bio/psycho/social assessments and the initial screening and intake of young people aged 12-25 years
- Participate in clinical review meetings, contribute to care plans
- Provide written reports to the clients’ referring GP with information regarding assessments undertaken, treatment provided and recommendations
Requirements:
- Degree in Psychology with eligibility for relevant professional membership.
- Previous experience working in a Mental Health role delivering evidence based therapeutic interventions and conducting comprehensive bio/psycho/social assessments and screening with young people.
- Drivers Licence
